Rose Blossom Challenge Blog!

Here is my challenge for the Rose Blossom Challenge Blog! I love the way this layout came together using the "birthday boy" key! What fun it was to create this using the glitter paper as well and it cut so easily on the Cricut, I was quite surprised! I'll be sure to use the glitter paper more often!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you create something fun and join the challenge!

Throw-Back Thursday!

I wanted to share a layout that I created using a template from Reflections Scrapbook Program written by Jeanette Lynton. If you have never used any of her books for inspiration and ideas on cards or layouts you really must give them a try. They are filled with fabulous photos with full instructions to complete one or two-page layouts.

I created this page of my grandson, Drew, about 3 years ago after his 1st birthday (Drew is now 4!). I used a paper pack called Caboodle (retired) and the colors went perfectly with this photo.

What I love most about Close To My Heart products is, not only the superior quality, but also they have taken out the guess work. It's so easy to create beautiful layouts that will be cherished for years to come. What a great way to share family memories that can be passed down from generation to generation.

Hope you enjoy Throw-Back Thursday and Happy Scrapping!

Later Sk8r

I am very fortunate that I have an awesome and fun group of scrapping buddies! Each month we get together at our local library and have the best time. We chit chat, snack and work on projects whether it's page layouts or cards. Yesterday, I did a little of both and when I got home around 5:00 pm I still wasn't finished with my projects so I made my way into my craft room and finished up.

This layout I did was with Workshops On The Go® Later Sk8r Scrapbooking Kit. I just love this paper and as soon as I saw it in the Spring/Summer 2013 catalog I knew exactly which pictures I was going to use to create this layout! It was so easy and fun to put together.

The photos were taken in 2006 when my youngest son, Ryan, was in his "skate boarding" phase. He and his friends liked to skate off a loading dock behind a local shopping center and one day I decided to capture the moment with my camera.  Ryan has always been my "dare devil" child as you will come to find out in future layouts I plan on creating!
