Woo Hoo!
Hey there papercrafters! Two posts in two days, I'm on a roll now! I went to my upline, Cindy Bristow's house, last Saturday for our first unofficial meeting! I got to play with her Fun Stampers Journey stamps, dies and paper! She has been a Journey Coach since November but she has already amassed quite a lot of product! Woo Hoo! It was hard to decide what to start with and my creativity level isn't what it used to be since I haven't played with paper in a very long time. I decided to CASE one of her cards to get me started. I thought this card looked so elegant and I used a sentiment that is versatile. "Thinking of you" can be used for just about anything, birthdays, sympathy, or just simply encouragement.
The second card I did was using Nature Trees stamp set. I have been dying to play with this one! It's a fun stamp that uses a splat stamp as a backround. I used Cool Pool for the splat backround and Hazelnut for the tree. I love the way it turned out.

Yummy and Delicious!
Hello Everyone! It's been a long time since I posted on my blog! So many things have happened in the past year it's hard to know where to begin!
I won't go into detail but I haven't been able to do any papercrafting for the past year due to family obligations and now I'm starting to slowly get back into it. With that, I have signed up as a Fun Stampers Journey Coach. Fun Stampers Journey is a fairly new company and it's CEO is Richard Garay. I haven't met Richard in person yet but he seems to be a really fun person and can't wait for the opportunity to meet him and hope to at the Yummy and Delicious Tour in Va Beach this weekend.

Crop til you drop!
This past weekend I went to Ocean City, Maryland with my daughter and sister-in-law to attend Cropmania! What fun we had there! I decided to work on digital layouts to get caught up because it's an easy and fast way to get 'er done! Close To My Heart's Studio J is so easy and fun to use and you never run out of paper or embellishments!!! And you can change and modify to your heart's content! I completed pages from last May from a Cub Scout event we attended. Doing the layouts brought back fond memories of that weekend with my grandkids.

Continuing On!
It's been a very long time since I posted to my blog and a few things have changed. The one most important one is that I am no longer a Close To My Heart consultant. As much as I loved their products and still do, and I miss the team I was on, Rose Blossom's Legacies, I just felt it was time to slow down and reflect on my life. Suddenly I realized that life was going by and I wasn't doing a lot of other things that are most important to me like spending time with my grandchildren. When you work full time, outside of the home, time is a precious commodity. I wasn't even sure if I wanted to continue with my blog but decided just because I'm not a consultant doesn't mean I can't blog and share my creative artwork so here I am!
With all that being said, I wanted to share a layout I did for a challenge. The challenge was to use the same photo twice in a layout and I chose an awesome picture of my Grandson Blake that was taken at a park around 2010.

Rose Blossom Challenge Time!
It's that time for the Rose Blossom Challenge! This month we used the "G" key from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge so I made a gift card holder. Isn't this the cutest paper and stamp set?! The paper is called Babycakes and the stamp set is Wild Wonders and they are both in the new Fall/Winter Idea Book that goes live on August 1st! This was really easy to put together!
I work in an athletic facility in a 4-year residential college and most of my co-workers are young coaches. A few of them are starting their families and lucky for me one is expecting a boy in the fall. This will make a great gift for their new baby boy!

Craft Cottage
Last June I attended a weekend crop in Annapolis at The Harbor Scrapbooking Craft Cottage. This is a house that is rented for weekend crafting retreats that has everything there you would need to have a four day, three night crafting weekend get-a-way: 6ft tables, Ott lights and cup holders at each station, two Cricut machines (mats and extra blades included) over a hundred Cricut cartridges, and plenty of idea books. This was a fabulous weekend spent with friends, some I already knew and some I just met. While I was there I created a layout to use specially for this time with my friends using the Buzz & Bumble paper pack and stickease assortment (retired). I just love the way this layout turned out and I have plenty of paper to create more layouts and cards.
Spending time with my crafting buddies is one of my favorite things to do. I love the camaraderie, laughter, and the sharing of crafty ideas.
